Gratefully, this inflammatory syndrome is rare in and of itself, Tremoulet added. There have been children that have, unfortunately, died of this illness but that is uncommon as well.
MIS-C is a syndrome that typically presents itself in children two to six weeks after they have had close exposure to COVID-19, typically through family members who have been infected with the disease. There are some children, and we don’t know why yet, that end up developing this inflammatory syndrome a few weeks after the family or someone close by has been infected with COVID, Tremoulet said.
One of those children was 18-month-old Roman Sorcia.

The move comes as supporters of the possible recall election aimed at the Newsom continue gathering the nearly 1.5 million petition signatures needed to qualify the proposal for the ballot. They have until mid-March to hit the required threshold.

Clouds will gradually increase tonight and winds will be light out of the southeast at 5 mph. As a result of the increased cloud cover temperatures will be much warmer with overnight lows falling into the mid 30s.
Expect a gradual in cloud cover tomorrow with highs topping out in the low 60s. Winds will be out of the south at 10-15 mph with higher wind gusts. The warming trend will continue with highs climbing near 70 degrees on Wednesday afternoon. A strong cold front will move into across Texoma on late Thursday morning. There is a slight chance for rain on Thursday night.

The cleanup is beginning after a storm that offered blizzard conditions in parts of the state dropped over a foot of snow in much of Connecticut Monday.
Snow was still falling in some parts Monday night, while other areas saw a transition to a wintry mix. The snow will mostly wind down by morning, but may leave totals close to 20 inches in some hill towns west of Hartford. There may be occasional light snow or a mix during the day, but it should not accumulate to much after 4 a.m. Tuesday.
Governor Ned Lamont announced Sunday that he is activating the State Emergency Operations Center to monitor and respond to severe weather conditions resulting.
